Sheraton Atlantic City Convention Center Hotel

This is a solid Marriott property. Location is good especially if your interest is the convention center or the outlet mall. Hotel is classy although a bit dated. Both valet and self parking are available. The self parking is across the street in the convention center so recommend dropping your bags with the bellman prior to parking. If you are a pageant fan, the hotel has a great collection of Miss America memorabilia dating back to the early 1900s. There’s a lounge on the 16th floor but it only provides light snacks like nuts and granola bars and there’s a Starbucks coffee machine there. We stayed here for 3 nights during the week while visiting family in New Jersey and so I could see the sites in Atlantic City. ||From the very beginning, we enjoyed our stay. The staff was very friendly even when they were overwhelmed with guests from the multiple conventions taking place. ||The location is convenient as it’s not too far from anything in Atlantic City and is directly next to the convention center and train station. ||We had breakfast in Boulevard Cafe each morning and Lorraine was very friendly and remembered the kind of tea I like to drink. Thank you Lorraine!||Overall, we really enjoyed our visit and would stay there again.

My sister, brother in-law, my friend and myself stayed @ the Sheraton for a day trip back in December, traveling from MD. Snow was in the prediction for the weekend. The location is not bad but a little secluded. The young man who was the valet was wonderful and respectful. There was 1 gentleman (concierge) who was a bit rude bit overall, everyone else where hospitable. We went out fir the evening thinking the bar would still be open but it closed early, Im guessing because of the snow prediction. The room was ok but the tub was stopped up. Very slow drainage. We called to get extra towels and they never knocked on the door to let us know. We called 2 times to the front desk. Positive: NOTHING Negative: EVERYTHING! The room smells like mold and mildew, the bathroom looks like it hasn’t been cleaned, you can see the paint chipping in the bathtub, the sink faucet handle broke off with one touch, the floor needs to be power carpet cleaned or ripped OUT.

The hotel was conveniently located close to the event we were to attend. The decor is not modern but unique and historic. There was leftover used soap from a previous visitor’s stay, and I also noticed that the sheets were on top of the comforter, not the standard comforter on top of the sheet. The internet was wonky but more noticeable when my best friend tried to use her tablet. For us, the beds weren’t really comfortable (mattress slightly too firm, pillows way too soft). The temperature of the shower was fantastic. As far as the service, even when we said that we were coming to open the door, housekeeping would try to use the key to open the door. That did bother my best friend and I a little. I wish the whole parking set up would have been explained more clearly because to a visitor,
