Beautiful park. The only downside was directions to the camp site weren't as clear as they could have been. The sites are large, bathroom was really clean and the laundry machines were close by. This is site 25 love it
Stay at the park at least one time a year with family, always enjoy staying here. One of our most favorite camping areas. Roomy sites, electric and water. Park is very well maintained, normally see park personnel daily. Rangers normally patrol the area after dark. Really enjoy the trails and the visitors center. Close access to the river. Very quiet, some sites are close to others but the way the park is setup you can barely notice.
I thought this campground was great. Easy to get to. They put your ticket on your pitch and your envelope is on the entrance hut when you arrive. Easy access, level pitches, electric and water. 2 Washers and 2 dryers. Only 75 cents for each which is way cheaper than other campgrounds. Excellent. Very quiet and peaceful. Good location. Book early. The rangers patrol all the time which was reassuring.
Great state park campground! We love staying here. The sites are large, private, and almost leveled. There's a large, very clean bathhouse with separate bathrooms (including one handicapped accessible stall in each) and 4 private shower stalls, one of which is suitable for handicapped. Coin-operated laundry facility included. Easy walk to the river, with several hiking options. Electric (30+50 amp) and water hookups with a damp station and a dumpster on the grounds. The prices are very reasonable and online reservation is avaiable. Firewood is available for sale (self-service) at the host site. Highly recommended.
Large graveled sites in the rv section with both 30 and 50 amp hookup and water. In the first loop (sites 8-17), flood very bad in downpours. Hiking trails are very nice and a wonderful place for birding, with many different species living and migrating. Plan for a lot of mud after a lot of rain on most of the trails (to be expected near a river). The tent sites are hit or miss with some being much larger than others but charging the same amount. They are tucked into the woods and you park and walk your things in with a provided cart (hopefully there and not damaged). Very nice and well landscaped visitor center with picnic tables. The biggest negative... nearly impossible to get a reservation unless booked months out! People do not show up for their reservations all the time but the sites
