Shelton Inn

Interesting to read the reviews. This place must have changed hands recently. Our room was recently remodeled. The furniture was clean and comfortable, the bathroom had all new fixtures, the bedside table has plenty of outlets for charging electronics, the towels were large, clean, and in good shape. The room was quiet except for a few early morning customers with noisy cars - can’t blame the hotel for that. The outside looks a little tired but the inside of the rooms makes up for it. Shelton seems to have a good handle on what it takes to keep a small town vibrant and appealing. Quite a bargain for the price - many good unexpected extras.

We arrived at 4:15ish with trade show starting at 5:30 Little Creek Casino which was booked full. Sign on door says back at 5:30, lady arrives at 5:45. we had to shower and change after a long travel day. No apologies, just attitude. Noise outside our rooms on restraunt side until about 10:30. TV kept loosing signal. Stay at Little Creek Casino if in the area

Positive: price was good and the room matched the pictures on the website. The room was quite clean. Negative: quite a bit of road noise, but quieted down after 9:30 pm.

This is an older motel but you can see they care. The rooms are clean and look to be new. 55in TV in the room sign me up. I like that if you stay more than 1 night they let you know housekeeping will only come to the room if you want. The staff is great and very helpful. I will stay here again.

I stayed here for one night to go to Ridge the next day for a motorcycle track day. I was a bit skeptical at first based on past reviews of this place. But it seems recently they have been renovating rooms. Perhaps, under a new management? Anyway, the room was clean with a fresh coat of paint and new appliances. The bathroom was clean too. It is a small Inn after all and they have extremely limited resources, so you have to keep that in mind in terms of expectations. Don't expect this to be a high-end hotel. The important thing is they seem to be on an upward trend of making sure their rooms are clean and well-maintained. Moreover, the staff at the front desk whom I interacted with were very friendly and helpful. My only feedback would be that the linens might need to be changed out. They
