Loved it. It was a winter wonderland! Cabin D was perfect for our family and the proximity to Willamette Pass ski area is outstanding.
Visited there in 2017 so this is not a current visit, but it was really beautiful and I like the ruggedness it felt wild. Our little cabin was absolutely darling. The kitchen was so quaint. I felt like the reservation was easy at the time and I also enjoyed renting a pontoon boat where we did some fishing caught some fish got some really good advice from folks there at the fish cleaning sink located near the dock. I would definitely go back there if in that area yes, I would visit it again.
We booked to stay at Shelter Cove because of the close proximity to Willamette ski resort. Unfortunately, when we came for our reservation the ski resort was closed. However, Shelter Cove had plenty of snow for our little one to experience. He was able to learn how to snowboard here. He had a blast! The grounds are well kept. Our studio cabin was warm and cozy. 2 snow plough trucks keeping the road in and out of the marina clear and safe.
We came to celebrate my son's and daughter's birthdays. The employees were thoughtful and helpful. Good customer service is so hard to find but every single person we met during our 5 night stay was courteous and helpful. We got 15 inches of snow in 24 hours and the staff was busy maintaining the roads, cabin steps and pathways to ensure their guests got to enjoy the snow rather than have it be cumbersome and restricting. The cabins are clean, well stocked and so nice and warm. The proximity to the ski resort and sledding area at salt creek is unbeatable. The lake is gorgeous and we cannot wait to come during the summer months and get the most of that season as well. This was a trip we will talk about forever and we can't wait to get back to Shelter Cove to create more special memori
We were looking to stay here for a summer vacation, and called in January of 2025 to book a cabin for June 2026 (that's how far out they were booking). In August of this year, we realized that we weren't going to be able to make that date, so I called to cancel. I've yet to receive a refund on our deposit...despite multiple calls and many emails. I understand there have been staffing changes, but this feels like they hope I'll go away so they don't have to issue the refund. I'm sure it's a nice place otherwise.
