Sheffield Camping

Its just a tiny parking spot with a place to grill and hook up power. The water hookup is across the way so you need a really really long hose if you want to connect. There is no sewage dump. This is not a resort but it's a very safe quiet place to stop for a couple nights. There's no light pollution so you can see all the stars at night, weather permitting. Thanks to the host for having such a nice clean place. I will be back. Edit: We came back, it was a bit warmer out that night. We had a nice lil fire and had drinks until it got too cold. This may be the best kept secret in sheffielf for overnight parking. The sherif rolls by every now and then, making my girl feel safe. It was once again, very pleasant. Super-friendly owners! Dirt, but level. Water. All electrical available (30-50amp). Super quiet! Not much around.

Perfect stop between San Antonio and Big Bend. Owner is very honest and flexible. Quiet and great star gazing.
