Beautiful, secluded there is a well pump with fresh cold-water. Also there is an old school out house. They have a long history of BIG FOOt sightings🙀 (I found out after some strange experiences myself.🫣) if you enjoy bird watching that is definitely the place to find them. At 4am you can hear and sometimes see up close whippoorwill's birds and they sing ALL NIGHT LONG!
Camp 2 has always been a favorite of mine. I have camped there many times over the last 50 years. The North loop of the Shawnee Backpacking packing trail was built before the South loop. So I spent a lot of time at both Camp 1 and Camp 2.
The trails are clear, naturally beautiful here. Great for backpacking several days. Love the solitude.
