Shady Rest Campground

We stopped in for one night while traveling north. Came in late and were greeted when we got there. They loaned us a hose because we forgot ours. Helped us get to the site in the dark. Great customer service! We will definitely come back and stay a few days. Sites of different sizes and a lot of trees. Very nice place.

We found a gem in northeast PA! First time stay at Shady Rest Campground. It’s set on a hillside but the sites are spacious and flat. Gravel is firm and trees (although too early for leaves) are plentiful. It is QUIET! Full hook up was $38 cash. Clean and spacious shower room in office building. We’ll be back!

Stayed here overnight in our way home. The campground is clean and quiet. It is decently close to I 81 but not within earshot. All services and facilities are in good condition. The campground was easy to access and was just what we needed to break up the trip.

Loved our spur of the moment stay here. Came up to visit some old haunts and Shady Rest was perfect for that. Wonderful owner, large, clean sites, plenty of firewood for purchase. True “Mom & Pop” type of campground. A gem :)

Great little spot off the 81. Easy to book, with full hook up, and large enough lots to pull thru, or back in. Sandy is lovely, and runs a nice little camp. There's only one shower & bathroom at the back of her home, but it was big, clean, and the water was hot with great pressure. Camp spots were in the trees, so nice and cool. It's not somewhere I'd spend my vacation for a week, but nice little stop over.
