Shady Bay Campground

Couldn’t have been a better experience for my family, we are city folk so we rented a cabin and it is set up very nicely with amenities and sleeps 6 (one regular bed and a queen sized bunk bed). Beach at Shady Bay was great for little kids to go in and splash around.

I left a review on the Medicine Creek site with photos of a cabin. We usually tent camp though and just love the grounds and facility. Always as clean as can be and so well maintained as far as campsites. Sure the playground equipment is dated but all still usable and fun. We will continue camping here for years to come!

This bath house is operated like a car wash, $0.50 to start the water with very little pressure.. if you have kids be extremely careful, the water is extremely hot!!! I like a hot shower but I shouldn't be red with 3rd degree burns TURN THE DAMN TEMPERATURE DOWN!!!! you cannot adjust the temp by yourself. My advice, just use a rag and the sink at least the sink if free water. And a PSA the whole weekend I was here they was not cleaned. Trash cans full and floors nasty but I guess folks like nastiness

We love this campground. Mature trees. Lake view spots. Flush toilets and coin showers. Friendly park personnel .

I have been camping here since I was 10 years old living in Colorado with my family growing up, I am now 35 and bring my family all the way from Ohio. The showers are nice, the kids love the playground, lots of room to explore, beaches and the lake itself is gorgeous!
