Serenity Lakefront Cottages

We stayed in the three bedroom Cabin and it was perfect. It was our annual holiday family weekend and the owners made sure it was available the first weekend of December. The house was warm and toasty. The windows made for amazing lake views and so much warm natural light. The kitchen was clean and stocked with items you may need. Brand new dishwasher, because who wants to wash dishes on vacation?! The beds were very comfy, everyone said they slept great. Check in was easy with a coded entry and the hosts are amazing people. We can not wait to make this place a new tradition for our family!!

Great location and lovely amenities like a dock and outdoor patio area with a grill that was right on the water. The cottage we stayed in was very neat and well set up, but there were so many bugs inside! I'm not sure if that was avoidable given the climate, however. I would've given 5 stars for service, but we had a very abrupt check in experience with the host where he did not remember the conversation we had over the phone about me bringing my adult, small dog. The host also did not introduce himself and his questions about my dog made it seem like he was not going to allow us to stay there. I would've appreciated an introduction and maybe some note-taking on his part to remember ahead of time who is visiting as it was a bit jarring to be questioned right upon getting out of the car. Ov

Spent Labor Day weekend at Serenity Lakefront and thoroughly enjoyed the stay. Weather was great, the accommodations were excellent, the hosts were very attentive. Serenity provided kayaks and we took a guided tour of the cove on the water. Our tour guide gave us the history of the area along with pointing out the best places to get out of the kayaks and enjoy a nice swim. Back that cottages, we relaxed in the hammocks, ate well at several local restaurants, and even played some pool. If there was any negative on the trip, our experience with the owner of the nearby bar and grill was the low point of the trip as they weren't hospitable at all. It was obvious that the bartender preferred to talk with the local customers and tourists such as myself and family weren't really welcome there

So peaceful. The dock/hanging chairs are a great way to relax and appreciate the serene surroundings. Kayaking was great and the hosts are super accommodating and sweet. My husband and I will definitely be back.
