Sequoia Mountain Farms Campground, RV sites and Vacation Home

The place overall was okay. However, the RV area wasn’t close to the showers or toilets. We had to drive the van down the hill to take a shower so we wouldn’t get dusty again, as the road was unusually dusty. The showers and toilets were clean enough, but we couldn’t figure out how to turn on the lights. We also strongly recommend arriving before dark, as it’s not easy to find the location. There is no on-site management, so we had to knock on the door of a nearby house to figure out where our spot was. About 10–15 minutes later, the owner/manager arrived.

Good and bad. Good first: great showers and toilets. Very close to Sequoia NP. 1st night quiet peaceful camping. Bad: zero oversite. No management on property. It is difficult to contact any living person. 2nd day, the circus came to town. No lie, about 40 Indian adults and children changed everything. Loud yelling and talking until after 1130 pm. Started back at 630 am. There is no control of what you get as there is no on-site management. At 7 am, I was packing and will not return. Not a happy camper.

So let’s start off with the positives. Hot showers are super nice and very clean. Beautiful stars. . It’s close to the park. Negatives, MASSIVE potholes throughout the campground. Road through the park is also insanely rough to ride on in general. I wouldn’t recommend booking if you’re in a sedan or low clearance vehicle. STEEP hills throughout the campground also.. Dust gets EVERYWHERE because of the dirt roads. On your tent, gear, clothes, vehicle and in your lungs every time someone drives past your site. It’s also a bit hard to find, especially if you’re coming at night. Would stay here again, but BOOK A SITE RIGHT NEXT TO THE SHOWERS/BATHROOMS to avoid most of the dust, steep inclines and potholes. If those are unavailable, I would not recommend staying here.

We really enjoyed this campground. We got one of the few sites with a hookup for our van. It was nice and flat. The showers and toilets down the hill were easy to access and always clean. I would recommend getting there for the first time while its still light outside, as the road in isn't super well marked. But the owner gives great instructions so it isn't really an issue. We would definitely stay here again.

My family and I spent the entire day hiking in Sequoia National Park and arrived at Sequoia Mountain Farms vacation home later in the evening. Upon arrival, we were met with two broken blue metal gates, held together by a bike lock. Due to limited cell service in the park, we had to contact the owner to get the lock combination, which took some effort. Once inside the gate, the property appeared unkempt and poorly maintained. My wife reassured me that the place had great reviews, so we decided to give it a chance. As our kids began showering, we started our usual cleanliness and safety inspection. We always check for bed bugs and ensure the sheets are clean. On that front, the house was clean, albeit with a noticeable musty smell—hence the one star. The real issues arose during our safet
