This is a great shelter on the AT. 8 miles from Hog Camp Gap and 11 miles from the Tye River Footbridge crossing. This shelter has a firepit, picnic table, and a fairly decent privy. One thing I love about Seeley is the strong flowing water source. It comes directly out of the mountain and is close by the shelter. Great place to call home for the evening while passing through. I look forward to visiting it again someday. :-)
This Appalachian Trail shelter has space for about 6. A pit privy is available near the shelter, and a spring is located another 0.1 mile downhill along the shelter trail.
