Seal Cove Inn

The building is beautiful, the environment is very nature-friendly, and the air feels fresh. We really enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere. The staff were extremely kind, and the property was always very clean. Overall, we had a great experience. However, we visited with our toddler, and while the atmosphere is lovely, this place is not very stroller-friendly. Most of the paths are unpaved, which made it a bit difficult to move around with a stroller. Also, breakfast service starts after 8 a.m., so we had to adjust our schedule during our stay. Just something to keep in mind if you are planning a visit. Aside from these points, everything else was wonderful.

Overall a very pleasant place to stay, clean and well looked after by the staff, with views down to the water and a pretty garden. The location is very good; it is nice to take a walk through a little bit of woods down to the shore. Breakfast is light and what is usually to be expected at a bnb in California, and I appreciate that they offer to bring it up to the room. The coffee machine downstairs is much appreciated as well.||For guests staying there, I recommend going for walks in the woods nearby, and down to the beach, and stopping at the farm stands. I recommend dinner at The Conservatory; it is leagues ahead of the other restaurants in the area, worth a little more expense. Big Sur and Carmel would make a nice day trip. The customer service was excellent, every one that we came into contact with gave premier service. We have traveled to many boutique hotels and the Seal Cove Inn far exceeded the other boutique hotels. They truly care about their guests. Stacey gave excellent customer service at check-in and throughout our 7 night stay. Stacey, showed us and explained in detail maps of the area and various things to do and dining options. From the complimentary breakfast, the evening wine reception and freshly made cookies, we highly recommend the Seal Cove Inn and give 5 stars plus!!!

Everything starting from when I arrived to when I departed was wonderful! The Inn is an English countryside looking building and the setting is very serene. My room upstairs had a sitting area and a balcony. Extremely friendly and pleasant ladies work the front desk, etc. I had several great conversations with them and they were more than helpful with anything I needed. My breakfast was made “to go” for me because I had to leave early in the mornings. I really appreciated this and the breakfast was delicious! I will not hesitate to stay here again and look forward to it!

We have been coming to the Seal Cove Inn since 1998. It was originally built in '91 as a BnB and has been operating since then. There have been 2-3 owners since the originals, and each time little bits change, improve, or are altered. But each time we come we can feel the stress of life wash away with each walk, bike ride or are seated at a bench.|Whether it's foggy and gray, or sunny and blue the ability to relax and slow the pace of life is achieved.|The rooms are lovely with comfortable beds. The morning breakfast is delicious and fresh, the sitting room is inviting and warm, the 5:00 wine is the perfect transition from the day's to the evening's activities, and the staff is welcoming and professional. |For a 2-3 stay along the coast, this is unbeatable.
