Sea Scape Motel & Apartments

I checked into Sea Scape Motel for a mini-staycation. I loved this hidden gem. The back of the property is a gorgeous beach view, just down the wood steps to get to the water. Plus, the motel has an outdoor shower and foot spray area. It was so peaceful and quiet. No upstairs neighbors to make noise. Uda, the owner, was so kind and friendly, and she upgraded me to an apartment with its own full kitchen and dining room. I highly recommend staying here instead of the larger chain hotels in the area. The cleanliness, quietness, beach access, and staff are significantly better here at Sea Scape.

This motel is a charming slice of old FL between high rise hotels and condos. We got the large suite facing the ocean that included a full kitchen, dining table, 2 comfy conversation areas and a king bed. There’s several tables and chairs at the sea wall overlooking the ocean as well as a covered area with seating. They offer folding chairs for the beach if you want, and I think beach toys (we didn’t use). The room was very clean. It’s an older property but well maintained and just cute! It was super easy to book and staff was excellent. I would definitely go back. Melbourne has a charming downtown area with lots of restaurants and local shops.

We attempted to book a room through Booking.com when a woman who identified herself as the ‘owner’ approached us and refused to accept the Booking.com reservation. She was extremely rude during the interaction. My husband is a police officer and retired member of the military, and we were simply trying to book a room like any other travelers. The treatment we received was noticeably different from the way others were treated and had clear racial overtones. We chose not to stay and would advise others to be aware.

We have been staying here for so many years pretty much have stayed in each room they have & there all amazing in there own ways. The staff is wonderful & very helpful. Being right on the beach is one of the best parts along with the accommodations hands down 5 star worthy
