Needed a place to tent camp when I found Schumacher Park. It's $20 a night for tent camping, and the tent area is next to the golf course. You go to the building with a bathrooms and fill out the slip and open the slot in the door to the right and put the money in . BEWARE, this community has the worst golfers ever! I arrived around 6:00 p.m. and by dark, two golf balls have been hit into the camp area. According to other campers, this is common. They need to put a net up or get free golf lessons to these people! I thought the price was on the higher side, considering other similar parks are 5 to $15 a night for tent camping. But you get a bathroom with a shower, tennis courts, a basketball court, and a swimming pool.
It's a city run campground in the park in Drayton. Less than a mile from the boat ramp in town.
