Scenic ViewPoint-Cove Lake Recreation Area

One of the secluded nature spots under the foothills of Mount magazine. Best time is during the fall season. There are 10 view points along the way. This drive takes around 2hours end to end and takes four hours to cover all the plaçes. Rest areas available and can be enjoyed with kids as well like a day trip from little rock. No reservations required for day visit ,campings allowed currently. Have a nice visit

Started the lake loop trail here + the lookout window trail for a little elevation. Trails are a little rugged and the lookout trail isn't trafficked much. The sign-in station hasn't been touched in years, the log book is completely full and all wrinkled. And you get to hear all the noise from the lake campground/rec area the entire time so it isn't very peaceful. Nice short easy hikes though.

Good hike. Pup was tired afterwards. No cell service. I had a flat in the parking lot and a nice couple stopped and helped me change it.
