Sarasota Lakes RV Resort

First of all this is a very nice resort. The place is clean and well maintained. The people seem very freindly and it is located perfectly between Sarasota and Bradenton. The RV sites are good size for larger RV's if that is what you are renting a spot for. I really like a lot of things about this place. Why the 3 stars? First I booked an RV site a few months early. I paid extra to lock in the site I wanted. I was getting there on a day the office was not open .( Sunday) They changed the site without letting me know . When I got there there were tickets on the door with site numbers but mine was not there. I looked at my last email again and notice they changed my site to Silver 80 when I had Silver 4 booked. The new site was OK but they should have let me know or put my name on the do

While the RV Park itself is very clean and well maintained; the location 1.4 miles from the airport is definitely an issue. We could literally hear the planes landing gear door slam shut as it flew over our RV. They also start flying at 6am every single day, so there's your alarm whether you want one or not. Secondly, while the site we were on was fully paved and had a sitting area, the street to get there is one-way and VERY narrow. It was extremely nerve wracking to get our 38 foot motorhome down the street and onto the lot even though it was a pull through. And getting it out of the lot and through the park to exit was daunting as well. The roads are WAY too narrow with vehicles parked within inches of the roadway the entire length. I would not recommend this park for RV use.

Love this place! It was our first year here but I think we'll make it our new spot. It's a gated community, people are very friendly, has a community pool that the kids love. Also sits right by a small lake, which is beautiful for sunsets😍

Our home for the month of February. Such a great spot. Everyone is extremely friendly. Good vibe. Great pool, shuffleboard and pickleball or tennis. Someone asked how are those planes going by since we are so close to the airport. After the first day you don’t even notice them.

Excellent location, facilities/amenities, lots, price!! Huge pool and the grounds are beautiful as well. Gated community with over 400 sites, but it never felt crowded. One couple of the permanent residents were jerks, but overwhelmingly the majority were very nice. Cal invited us to the residents 4th of July cookout. We brought a few pot luck items and Alice and the other ladies and gentlemen were so nice and made us feel right at home. Residents give good tips on places to see and eat. We are doing a tour of Florida this summer and this was the best overall location for beaches and the rv park. 10 minutes from a huge modern indoor mall on rainy days. This park is a little bit of paradise!!
