Sands Motel

It is what it is. don't expect the Hilton. It's a little motel in a little town. Price was reasonable. Rooms are pretty basic, but clean. Water is hot. They offered rags for our motorcycles, and extra garbage cans as we sat outside to talk and drink. They don't have coffee available in the morning, which they used to have.

Positive: it was cheap and they had a room when the others did not Negative: The bed felt like it had been used since the 1960's as was everything else in the room

Fantastic stay. The property was spotless and had everything we needed. The host was incredibly welcoming and made us feel right at home. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a peaceful getaway.

Planned a weekend in boscobel to see the great outdoors. The sands was a cheap option for where we were going to lay our heads at night and shower. Our first room was a one bed and very small. The shower was meant for a tiny person and didn’t accommodate average size people. The shower also had mold all along the base of the shower. It was 93 degrees that day and the ac wouldn’t even work because the whole outlet was shot. We asked for a different room and got upgraded to a 2 bed queen room. At first looks it was OK . The carpet had a lot of stains and a weird old smell down the hall way and in the room. The bathroom was nicer but at night we found so many nats in the room busing around the lights. By the morning there was dead little nats EVERYWHERE. In the bathtub, sink, walls, light fix

This motel is one of the few I have stayed in that has been absolutely a terrible experience. The ac barely works in half of the rooms The guy at the front desk always has an attitude We had three trucks for our company between two rooms and the guys on the front side of the building were not even allowed to keep their trucks in front of their room No room service while you’re there unless you ask Everytime we go outside the guy at the front desk was harassing us about something.
