Sand Point Lodge

I stayed last June/July timeframe, the weather was beautiful! The location lets you unplug from the mainland and commune with nature in one of the genuine log cabins. The owners are outstanding, super friendly, hard at work making for a great stay to be had by all, and Doug is always good for a story, or a laugh, or both!

An absolutely amazing place. We’ve going to Crane Lake & Sand Point Lake for the past 8 years and stayed at different resorts but Sand Point Lodge is definitely the best if you are looking for a remote area, few cabins with all amenities available at the same time. The cabins are very clean, cozy & the views are breathtaking. Doug & Cindy are wonderful hosts. They make you feel at home. Excellent fishing. Beautiful nature. We will keep coming back.

Cindy and Doug, the owners of this beautiful place, went above and beyond to ensure that we were comfortable for an enjoyable stay. My family and I rented 2 of the lakefront cabins. Both had everything we needed, from freshly washed linens and towels, to a fully supplied kitchen. The lodge is pet friendly, as we brought our dog Molly with us. Molly got along fine with their adorable resident dog Ellie Mae. Cindy and her team prepared a delicious pizza night for us in the main lodge with a fresh salad. With prior planning, they will create a menu with you for breakfast, lunch and/or dinner. If you are looking for a peaceful relaxing vacation with breathtaking views and sunsets, where the people are inviting and kind, then this place is for you. Highly recommend!

This is my second home! Everyone is so friendly and helpful! It’s safe and comfortable. I’m a single woman and feel completely respected and cared for. Cindy, Doug, and Dom look out for you, give great fishing advice, and are very knowledgeable about the area. There’s a nice fish cleaning hut that’s always kept clean. If you don’t feel like cooking, the meals at the lodge are hearty and delicious. The cabins are clean, rustic, and all you need to have a very relaxing vacation away from all the noise and hustle of life. Most other guests are also just there for fishing and quiet. There are lots of beaches near by in Voyaguers National Park if you are not into fishing. I have been coming here for many years, and hope for many more!!!

The folks that own and operate the lodge are a rare breed these days. They sold us fuel when they were closed because we were almost out. Then they chased us down by searching then entire northern 2/3 of Sand Point only to make sure the fuel was not bad and that we were not having any trouble with our motor. The time and effort it took to locate us was substantial and this type of customer service especially when they did not know us is outstanding. I am impressed with their commitment to their business and their customers. I will be back to spend my money with them every time I go to Voyagers.
