Sand and Stars Resort & Motel

The best service and hospitality our group has ever received at a fishing resort. The vacation home was great. John was very helpful and accommodating when it came to our stay. The ice landing to the lake was in great shape even for the conditions of the rest of lake. He has all the equipment to keep the resort meticulously maintained a day after getting 2’ of snow. We will be returning for sure.

Cute, clean, and comfortable rooms with fresh paint, carpet, and linens. Convenient snow trail access to any direction. Refreshingly awesome customer service. Very responsive and good rates. Ray and I have stayed at various accommodations owned by John, and each time has been great.

Sand and Stars Resort exceeded our expectations. They’re very responsive and truly care about their customers. We were pointed in the direction of a good fishing spot, which made for a great experience. The cabins were nice and clean, and everything was well taken care of. I would definitely stay here again.

This resort is a joke. The only thing they care about is the money after you check in and you pay you were just a number. You are no longer a guest. We were a big group and rented. Have a resort multiple cabins multiple hotel rooms every one of us had a problem Anywhere from plumbing to missing electrical switch cover covers. We booked a year in advance and they were well aware of that we all have younger children one of our cabins every time you flush the toilet the shower went back up one of our cabins you walk in there’s no electrical switches Covers. The one cabin we had had a recliner couch in it. You stick your hand in to pull the lever to recline the couch and there’s rappers in it. Obviously, this cabin was never cleaned. I like to put things on top of the refrigerator, wallet keys

This place is so pleasant, well maintained and so absolutely peaceful, beautiful views all the way around, fishing is absolutely amazing catching six different species in the first day. A absolute perfect location for exploring the upper peninsula!! The owners are very quick to respond with answers! So very kind and helpful. Boat rentals are available at a great price affordable for the family to get out and enjoy this beautiful lake, fishing, swimming and relaxation. The name of this resort comes to life on the swing by the lake at night as the stars are breathtaking!!!!! Great job to the owners of this beautiful piece of Gods country!!!!
