Sam's Cabins

I stayed in the Log Cabin for 5 days. It was a great place to stay. The cabin was clean, cozy, and quiet. My husband and I will definitely be back the next time we are visiting the gorge! The porch swing on the front of the house is a peaceful place to have tea in the morning.

I stayed at Sam's cabin for three nights in September. The location is perfect for those that want to day hike and explore the Red River Gorge area. My sister and I stayed in the Telstar cabin. It was as described and just what we needed. It's like staying at an older relatives home. The pans and dishes are mix matched and beat up but what else do you need. The price was great and the owner and her sons were very nice. We had several questions about reserving online and they quickly returned my call. The owner and her sister were there cleaning when we arrived a half hour early and we found everything ready for guest. This beautiful cabin was completely over the top. I was so surprised and extremely pleased when we pulled up and walked in. It is by a main road, and there is a street light that shines in the front, but honestly, during the day you can see the woods and the trails around. It's beautiful inside, and everything you would need for a few days stay. We stayed during the week, so it was pretty quiet around our area. There is a fire ring in the middle of the three cabins, but we were the only ones there at that time. I'm planning on going back soon!

We stayed at the Telstar cabin and it was a great experience. The owner was very helpful and assisted us in getting an additional space heater in the cabin since it was supposed to be freezing cold that night. They provided more than enough towels and blankets. Would book again.

Stayed here twice now, GREAT LOCATION! The Log Cabin is charming, lovely big fireplace, full kitchen, comfortable bed. Telstar is comfy, full kitchen, nice master room, couch pulls out, so the little cabin has plenty of room. Owners are great, quick to respond to your needs (brought me fresh linens/towels when I extended my stay). Great value for money, and the location can’t be beat, it’s the only cabins on the eastern part of Skybridge road, so very quick access to Chimney top road, Skybridge, and you’re on the Rock Bridge road, so just a few minutes to that trailhead. It’s tempting to stay quiet about this hidden gem and keep it to myself, but the folks at Sam’s Cabins deserve all the praise, and I can’t believe this place isn’t booked 24/7.
