Found this location via expedia when looking for last minute properties to stay in this general vicinity. It's off on its own but I love non traditional hotels so this fit the bill. You go into the restaurant to check in. The person that helped me was very personable and friendly. My room ended up being in the carriage house. When i opened the room door was pleasantly surprised to see the size of it and decent size bathroom as well. All very spacious, especially for one person. Only thing I would note is that the room was very cold when I got there, eventually heated up to a comfortable temperature. Had a good meal at the restaurant as well, very convenient that way. Also close to Killington and just a generally beautiful area. Glad to have come across it.
I really enjoyed staying here! We stayed on a Friday night, and we didn't see or hear any other guests, it was very quiet! When we first pulled up we met the owner, and he gave us a suggestion of a place to eat. We decided to eat before we checked in, and when we got back the owner was gone but our key was at the front desk. The bed was so nice! It was a memory foam mattress (like casper or purple, not sure what brand though). That's what we have at home so we slept very good! The towels and soap were pretty crappy. Check out was just as easy as checking in, just left our key at the front desk. Nice place. Pretty cool how old it is.
Freezing room when we got in, but quick to warm up when we crank up the heat (wished it had been turned on prior to our arrival). Never saw the owner (booked on AirBnB) but we got no problems finding our room and getting at ease. The beds where comfy. The building was pretty old and pretty. We were there on off-season but it felt empty (the heat turned off didn't help either). Must be better during ski season or the summer!
This establishment is awesome in its simplicity. Super cozy and clean. Not to mention the beds were really comfortable. I slept like a baby. The price was truly reasonable. The inn keepers were really friendly and gave us directions to a fantastic breakfast spot about 10 minutes away. If u want a no frills comfortable affordable place to lay your head so u can enjoy Killington and the other local places this is the spot for you!
We chose the Salt Ash Inn because it wasn’t too far from Killington where we planned to ski that weekend and we were able to get it for a great price. We stayed in the attached “cabin” part because we had a large group (9 people). It suited our needs with many bedrooms, bathrooms, a common living room area and kitchen. A perk of this place was the check-in was very easy, they provided us a code to the door with which to enter and we were good to go as soon as we got there. |A few complaints though:|1. The directions for where to park that we were given were very confusing as the number in the address did not match the number of the cabin|2. The fireplace in one of the bedrooms with a king bed did not work|3. The towels we were provided had miscellaneous stains on them (luckily we brought o
