Salida Inn & Monarch Suites

The room was big and comfortable. We had a room with two queen beds and a sleeper sofa for extra seating area, which was nice. The front desk staff was very friendly and accommodating. The Hot Springs pool is about one block away and is great for an evening or an afternoon Price was good and we will come back and stay here again when we are in the area

There are good and not so good points to be made about this place. It was our 1st stay with them and there was another couple with us and it helps this review. Our king bed room #209 kinda smelled like wet dog at times and our carpet was pretty nasty. The craftsmanship of the remodeled parts of our room weren’t great. Our friends double Queen room #203 had new carpet, was much nicer and did not smell. The showers were hot and the rooms were clean. The pool and hot tub which we did not use seemed like a nice bonus. The continental breakfast in the morning was a plus and enough to get us by before our all day rafting trip. The 2nd level porches are a nice place to enjoy coffee, a drink or just some fresh air. However they both back up to people’s rooms so gather to chat with a nightcap drin

We stayed 1 night at Monarch Inn, the service and communication exceptional, customer service very attentive. I had a 3 queen bed for my family of 2 Adults and 3 teenagers. The rooms was exceptional. Very clean, comfy beds and enough toiletries for 5 people. Breakfast is a quick go breakfast, I would only recommend a waffle maker. I would definitely stay there again if I ever come back to the area. Thank you for having us!!

The pictures just don't do this place justice. It is VERY nice and clean. We actually got a better rate at the office than we would have through Expedia. It was $70 less in person. Highly recommended!!

We decided to head to Salida for a quick overnight trip. We stayed in a King cottage and it was so clean and comfortable. The young man at the front desk was friendly and helpful. We couldn’t have asked for more. Will definitely stay here again as we stay in Salida often.
