Saddle Mountain BLM Dispersed Camping

Nice place to boondock when in the area. Dark and quiet with lots of space to isolate. Be careful when entering especially if your towing. There in a truck stop ten miles away in Tonopah which would be the East entry. If coming in from the west don’t take the road ahead turn right and stay on the asphalt.

I went near this location but closer to saddle mountain and there was so much trash and broken glass. Beware of broken glass when it rains the glass ends up in dirt road. I ended up finding and picking up more trash than fire agates. Not the greatest experience. There are better and cleaner locations in my opinion. The scenery can be pretty. I saw a fluorescent orange blimp the day I was there.

Flies. I may have to leave. Copius amounts of flies. Theres a chicken farm nearby. Im kinda grossed out thinking about it. Its beautiful, and you come prepared, im finding all kinds of little quartz gems for jewerly making. So its brilliant other than the flies.

Great free place to camp. Lots of places already lined with rocks for the campsite and firepits with them too. Wasn't too crowded in May at all. No facilities, but a couple of places close by for dump and water. A bit of litter around, but really not too bad

This place is a rockhounding site. There are quite a few rough roads, most of which have dispersed camping sites. Great views.
