Sacandaga Campground

Was Skeptical due to the county road being so close! Glad we went because wow! We stayed on site 123 and the only traffic we heard were the muffles of loud exhaust and big trucks. The river drowns out all the road noise. The site was HUGE and neighboring sites were far away. As others have complained the road for the Berry Patch loop is NARROW! However there was a family with a large 5th wheel tucked in so with patience and a little know how you can make it work. Bathrooms were clean and what you would expect from a DEC campsite. 0 complaints about this place the staff are great and really care about the park! Will 100% be back again.

Good camp site , great location and view , no signal so get your peace! The ONLY thing we don’t like about was the bathroom. Half of the bathroom is out of order, no one clean the bathroom over the weekends even though the ranger driving around often. A hill of TP was on the floor😩

We had a pleasant stay! We checked in late afternoon on Friday, July 26, 2024 and checked out Sunday, July 28, 2024 and had a quiet day and a half with the travel trailer. My only quibble is that our 24 foot travel trailer had a bit of a struggle getting past two trees on either side of the B-loop road. I think that's only worth a half star, but the system doesn't allow for partials. Many thanks to the families camping on that curve for helping us out!

This is one of my all time favorite campgrounds! The sound of the river is so relaxing and makes it so you never hear any other campers. The bridge is a great place to stargaze with no light pollution. Bathrooms with running water, hot showers, and garbage/recycling facilities available but nothing fancy and no hookups at the campsites, which is fine with me!

This is a great campground! The staff really take care of this place, and it shows! River is so beautiful and peaceful to listen to especially at night, best version of white noise you will ever sleep to! I come here at least 1-2 times a year, and enjoy it every single time, you will to! Shout out to the staff and the park rangers! Stop and have a chat with them, you will not be disappointed
