Came for the weekend & I’m already planning to go back asap. I can’t say enough positive things. The whole resort just feels like “home.” The cabins were clean & so cozy, & the view of the lake was beautiful. The owners were so friendly & were always checking in to make sure you had everything you could ever need/want. I will absolutely be back. I’d love to make this a yearly tradition.
The cottage itself is comfortable for two people. We had a lot of hiking gear that we were able to spread out a bit and dry. The firewood was dry and perfect (watch for ticks). ||The logistics of payment, what we were responsible to bring, and other details were disorganized and confusing. For example, we did not bring our own sheets and towels, but were told when we got there that we “must not have read the memo”. There were also no hot pads in the kitchen (but three iron pans in the oven which we didn’t know when we turned it on to preheat). We were quickly provided these items, but with what felt like a a reprimand! ||It was explained to us that the resort is in transition, the website is down, and the manager is out of town and trying his best to communicate with the on-site management
Spent the weekend here and it was wonderful! Clean, updated, cute cabins with a beautiful view! Loved the cozy feeling but had plenty of room in the living area for people to hang out. Can't wait to visit here again!
This place is magic! Our cabin looked right out on the lake and has a nice grassy area in front with a fire pit (stocked with wood) where our family could gather in the evenings. The cabins are perfect, charmingly vintage with updated kitchens - just what you need for a real north woods experience - with the added bonus of new super comfy memory foam beds. There’s ac if you need it but we slept with the windows wide open and the air up here is so fresh! I haven’t woken up this rested in ages. There’s a dock and the star-gazing is spectacular. The proprietor bends over backwards to make sure everything is perfect.
Cabins (2) were probably built in the 1940's-50's but are nicely updated. 2 bedrooms, bath w/shower, living room, full kitchen, TV, & air conditioner. Beds were comfortable. Long pier with plenty of space to park a pontoon. Water is shallow enough (about 3 foot deep at the end) for children to swim. Firepit near the cabins. The land sits on a slight bluff that overlooks the lake; perfect for setting up your lounge chair to read, nap, etc. If you fish, there is a nice fish cleaning station with running water and power behind the cabins. We had 9 people total and didn't feel "cramped" in the cabins.
