Rusty Cannon Motel

The Rusty Cannon Motel is a solid, straightforward choice if you are traveling through the northern Pennsylvania hills or visiting the nearby Grand Canyon area. While the building has that classic, older roadside motel look, the rooms are consistently kept clean and provide everything necessary for a good night’s sleep. The staff members are genuinely friendly and professional, which adds a nice personal touch to the check-in process. We were looking for a place close to family, to avoid a long drive in the mountains at night, and the desk clerk assured me they were 100% non smoking when she took my prepaid reservation for the last available room. I signed the non smoking pledge when I signed in, but I noticed the parking lot was full of contractors’ trucks. ||Our minimally furnished two bed room was clean but had that long-ago smoky smell that never really goes away. ||Its a small one story motel with an inside hallway, with breakfast offered. ||Not the end of the world, but disappointing. We stayed, since there were no other nearby options, but we wouldn’t book here again.

Coming from Virginia, this place felt incredibly peaceful and quiet. The staff was wonderful—so warm and welcoming! 👏🙌 I can’t wait to go back.

Rooms are clean, and breakfast was great. The staff was really nice and very welcoming. This is the second time I have stayed here. the first time was almost 5 years ago, and this motel, the Rusty Cannon Motel, here in Westfield, Pennsylvania, is the only place that I will stay.

My husband and I stayed here during our recent motorcycle trip. We actually spent more time relaxing at the motel than we ever do on our rides because we enjoyed the quiet atmosphere. The motel windows open! That is a rarity and was so nice to wake up in the morning and sit in our room enjoying our coffee and homemade banana bread (from the continental breakfast). At night, Schifty’s Bar and Grill is within walking distance to have a drink. We would definitely stay here again should we travel this direction.
