R&R Deerrun Campground

I was just ridingy bike around and I saw this campground and I decided to go through it and it has nice views and I really liked this place and I'm thinking of camping here myself

Campground outside of Marathon, NY. Many permanent residents, with some weekend guests. Like a small community. A beautiful pond, with a gaggle of ducks who are very friendly if you feed them. Park is open from May through September. Almost weekly activities such as, priate night, Halloween in September, casino night, dish to pass dinners, and live music and dancing, among others. Owners are extremely friendly. Little restaurant and general store. Nice place to hang out for the summer.

We had a last minute change of travel plans and spent the spring/summer here and it was great! There is a diner/camp store open during the weekends and the food/service was great! We travel a lot so we get to see a large number of campgrounds and we prefer the smaller family owned ones over the larger ones where you feel like you are a sardine trapped between RVs. One of the things I fear most when going to a campground out in the country are the unknown roads, but the roads in this area are big rig friendly so you will not have any issues getting to or from the campground. I have a list of pros/cons and hopefully they help you out. Pros: Family/pet friendly, plenty of activities to join on the weekends/holidays, quiet during the week, the owners and the other campers in general are frie

The owners were so sweet. The service was great.decorated with antiques it was charming.the food was delicious, if you leave here hungry it's on you,the servings were generous.enjoyed letting belly settle on thier beautiful deck.thier campers were so nice and inviting. Will go back soon
