Royals Inn Motel

If staying in Malta for a short time (especially off the train) this is a great choice. It’s right across the street from the Amtrak station—closest possible place to stay. Service was great; they even stored our bags for us while we explored town waiting for our next train to come in. The rooms itself was just alright. Completely fine for just a night, but not the most comfortable it could be.

Apparently there is poor communication between the hotel website & the hotel, as they had no record of my online (confirmed) reservation. All turned out well, because there was a room available. It was spotless! Some might prefer a different decor, but we're mainly interested in clean room, comfortable beds. And we had them! An added bonus--there were 2 nice bright overhead lights in addition to the lamps! It was so nice to be able to read without squinting! The shower was great too.

They don’t take reservations online so don’t book any reservations online! you can only call to make reservations but the beds were comfortable! And had a good night sleep!

The hotel itself is great.The owner is amazing. There's a gentleman that does live in one of the rooms.And he will tell you where to park because he needs to see the highway. We are here for work and for safety reasons we ar e told to park in front of our rooms. We have caught him taking pics of our license plates. Also we get up early for work and he comes out side shining a mag light at us. Anytime we go out side he comes out and watches us. He has also aked us if we partake (smoke pot).It is becoming very creepy. I don't think we will stay here anymore for our business trips. Note to the owners he makes people uncomfortable. You may want to talk to him.

Cheap place. Pretty clean except for the 3 empty cans of beer under the bed. The man who owns or runs the place is so sweet. Would definitely stay again.
