Royal Oaks Motel

My girlfriend stayed there and she said the owners and cleaning staff we're very nice. Very welcoming and it's a beautiful location. 5 star experience 👍

Awful experience.||Rooms are smell like mold and we brought home a serious case of head lice.||I wouldn't advise anyone to stay there.||Hope this review helps someone so they don't have to go through the long drawn out process of getting rid of head lice and the eggs.

The room was dirty and smelled musty and Damp. The male owner is a horrible owner, such attitude and just very rude. His wife was showing me receipts and was all fumbled and I caught that I was overcharged a hundred dollars because she messed up the dates. She also smelled of booze and seemed to be under the influence. Just a horrible experience and I will figure out how to report them. I was actually frightened by his attitude when I simply asked to have fresh bedding and towels put in my room. He laughed rudely and said I'm being too picky. I can't believe they are not getting the police called on them for his anger. The place should be sold to a nicer couple. I highly recommend staying somewhere else.

My husband and I stayed at the Royal Oaks Motel recently while visiting Horicon Marsh. I'd never before stayed in a motel like this one. It's out in the country, but not far from the town. The owners live onsite. The rooms are in a row. There is nothing fancy about this motel. It is quite basic and rather dated, yet it's clean and includes WiFi and DirectTV. Given that we stayed there for $50 a night, that's not bad. I was charmed by its quaintness and being able to sit at a picnic table and see a barn across the road. The sodas in the machine were only fifty cents--which I haven't seen for quite awhile. The owners and the woman who cleans the rooms were all friendly and welcoming. The bed was comfortable.
