Royal Inn Torrington

🛑 Bed Bugs 🛑 Bed Bugs in this place 🛑 Please don’t waste your money!!! The nastiest and dusty place I ever seen . Very strong smell like cigarettes, dirtiness and mold and worst thing the bed bugs. We immediately check out when found out and asked for our money back.

This hotel looks more like an apartment than a hotel. The desk is not staffed full time. Instead, you have to ring a bell or call. There was no phone or clock in my room. The sound did not work on the TV. The room smelled of smoke, even though the door to the building has a non-smoking sign. My sheets had an old burn hole from the smoke. There was mold on the walls. The bed had a cheap mattress that was comfortable enough. There was only one small lamp in the main part of the room, in addition to overhead lights in the entryway. The room was quiet enough and the area is safe. I called ahead to say I would be arriving around midnight and when I got to the room, the window was open, letting in hot, humid outside air. I'm currently on tour with 8 female performers. Our bus unfortunately had issues (currently uninsured) just outside of the berkshires. After getting back on the road again we were quite worn out from the cold. Since we had to put a good amount of money in to the bus, our budget remains limited for the rest of our tour. Ownership warmly welcomed us and helped us with our luggage. Upon checking in to our single room with 2 double beds our head dancer (Priscilla) was attacked by a feral coyote that somehow had made it in through the bathroom window. She is currently being treated at Torrington hospital (conveniently located near by) and is stable. The owner generously gave us 50% on the room due to this minor occurrence. Ok so I rent a room for 400 a week an they decide they wanna move me to do construction. Like you money hungry people. Being loud throughout the day disturbing me an my spouse. I'm very irritated at Royal inn. I'm never coming here again. I found so many other places but I didn't decide on the place to go. My spouse chose this. I didn't know it would be such an inconvenience. People don't waste yo money here.

This place was Old and needs a lot of work. I'm allergic to smoke but the people upstairs smoked so much it backed up filled our bathroom and room to the point I spent some of our stay wearing a mask. This place is barely passable. A lot of down on their luck people live there. Lady at desk was nice, bed was pretty good. Couch in room 15 is disgusting and not usable. Bedding was Old we had our own bedding and pillows. Very little choice in hotels but after sticking it out for 6 nights we will not repeat the mistake again. Once the room is paid for no return of your money if you choose to leave.
