Royal Inn & Suites

My sister's stayed there about 2 years ago. We went to visit them soon as they got here at motel or that's what they call it. It was winter time and the heat really didn't seam like it worked other than that it's a dump.

This place is unreal the man is rude the lady seems to b ok. Doesn't have phone n ur room , he controls the air , and the smell omg. Febreeze didn't touch it . I don't like saying this about someone . Really come on u work w public atleast try. Top it all off we wanted 150 for 2 night . It's mayb a $30 a night hotel . No thank we did stay not for 150 . He did come down some on the price. Just don't go there.

If I could rank this motel without any stars I would. It has no typical motel standards but moreover is owned by someone who attempts to upcharge without cause. He controls the ac w his single remote! and doesn’t like any visitors pulling into his lot even if it’s completely vacant. This motel will likely go under with present operation in fact, just eastward of this motel I learned of a written warning about how truly bad this motel is but didn’t realize until after my stay. Two words, steer clear. You’d be better off pitching a tent.

TransAmerica Tour and it was either the local park or this motel. Very hard to negotiate a fair price for a pathetic room that was given. Old and outdated. Sockets are old and limited. Towels are brown and yuk. Don't ask about the bad reviews or he'll yell at you and hang up. Wait a moment and he'll call you back to make a deal. Young gentleman said $85. Then owner says $130. I said $85 and the owner calls me back with $100. Deal. What's up with that smell in the office though? Dollar general across the street. NOT WORTH $100/night!!! Worst place to stay on my trip so far. Wife seemed nice.

The rooms would be somewhat OK if the price was reasonable, but the price is outrageous for the quality of the rooms. During our stay, we paid $125 per night. We literally had to wait at least 10 minutes for the water to heat up in the shower. There is literally a Post-it note on the wall that says, “if you want hot water, you have to wait a while.” The towels and the toilet paper were super rough and very cheap. Do not stay here unless you absolutely have to. There are a couple of Airbnb‘s in the city of Marion very close to this hotel and I would stay at them and pay more per night just to not have to stay at the Royal Inn and suites.
