Royal Inn Suites

I did book a room here, but immediately asked for my money back and they thankfully did not give me a hard time. I left because I was uncomfortable. The back parking area to the side entrance had no lights whatsoever and I didn't want to unpack my car in the dark (traveling solo). I did attempt to at least see the room, but when I walked through a side entrance it smelled overwhelming like mildew and cigarettes. The entrances to the rooms had no security - the key pads were all broken. Also at the entrances there were gatherings of people hanging out. There were BBQ's and kids toys all along the back side. Honestly, the whole vibe was off. I listened to my gut and got out of there.

This hotel is currently under New Management. Assuming, after the new ownership purchased this property renamed it. First let me say that the location is EXCEPTIONAL! You are surrounded by so many businesses that are in walking distance from the hotel. My family and I just got back from an overnight stay at Royal. For the most part, things were suitable. We booked five rooms through a third traveling platform. I called the hotel the day of our arrival to let them know that we would be a little late. The clerk that I spoke to over the phone confirmed my reservation and said the late arrival would be noted. Upon our arrival, I was greeted by the hotel owner, who shared with me that the five rooms that I booked through Expedia in fact costs more than what expedia post it. And he was not able

The reviews listed are misleading. Old and tired looking, poor upkeep, and is more used for low income housing not a hotel. Entry way had a smell, much like urine. My wife and I were walking in our entrance, which btw had all the security features disable, to see one of the tenants unzip his pants to relieve himself outside. Water in the sink barely was a trickle, lighting was poor, and went out to the parking lot to the front desk guy and another tenant smoking. Didn’t feel comfortable there at all. Wasn’t what I expected with the rating.

My son stayed here over the weekend with family members & came home with bed bug bites all over him. Which is not surprising now that I've read other reviews complaining of this place having bed bugs. If you can't be trusted to do proper housekeeping, then its an immediate 1 star for me. Pool also out of order.
