Rodeway Inn Wahpeton

!!!!!!!PSA!!!!!! Ever paid for a hotel room and slept in your vehicle? I have.. Just last night!(12/22/25-12/23/25) Big shout out to the Rodeway inn, for the absolute nastiest "hotel" I have ever had the great misfortune of being lodged at. If you enjoy peace of mind about a clean room then this is not it. Have young children? Find somewhere else!!!!! Out of years and years and years of travel i would have never guessed that the grossest "hotel" to ever exist is right in north dakotas backyard. Let's start with pee stains on the mattress covers... thats right lift those sheets up one time and tell me what you see. Then a chair that looks like it gets more action than Charlie Sheen, but forget all that and the nasty brown marks on white linens.. look past all that and still there's MAGGOTS

It was a great price, but the hotel is a bit worn, and is why it is priced where it is. I think there may have been nicer choices, but for more money. We had relatives staying at this hotel for a funeral, and we wanted to stay where they were staying.

Positive: Hotel staff was super helpful and nice Negative: Our room was a little dirty and I mentioned something to the owners and they came right down and cleaned the room. They said new house cleaning staff is not doing a great job.

Only stayed here one night cause it was cheap and the weather the next day. Now I see why it was cheap. They have done some remodeling, but pool was “closed for maintenance”, breakfast area was poorly put together with limited options, a side door that was unlocked 24/7 instead of being securely locked, no one available at the reception desk upon arrival to the hotel, barely could understand from desk staff due to their accent. TBH, I’m surprised the Choice Hotels brand hasn’t shut this hotel down due to the poor conditions.

The housekeeper doesn't clean the rooms very well I found trash from the last guest in the room I checked into. The shower curtain was so dirty from past guests I dared not close it when bathing,the TV didn't and the guy who worked there told me I should use common sense it was rigged up some weird way even though they have terrible service they want the money on time or they will bust into your room while you're in there he also wrote down my debit card information and charged my card without my knowledge I wouldn't suggest staying here but being it's such a small town there's not many options also no washer and dryer you have to pay them ten dollars per load
