Rodeway Inn & Suites New Paltz - Hudson Valley

I made the reservations in advance to be sure we had a place to have breakfast before our busy day in the area. Days before the stay, I found out you had canceled serving breakfasts. There was no adjustment to what we paid and it was too late to find alternatives lodging nearby. Our family stayed in a King Suite and another King room. First of all they were supposed to go be adjoining rooms as we talked on the phone at the time of registration. When we arrived, the two rooms were on the farthest end of the hotel from each other. This was extremely difficult since I am disabled. The rooms were filthy. I expected to find bugs but thankfully did not. The people at the front desk were very polite. It is the cheapest hotel in the area, but you do get what you pay for. The room was very outdated and wasn't super clean. There was hair in the bathroom, very dirty bathroom faucet, some old stains on the couch and while there was a keuring machine-some of the k-cups were missing. If you are just looking for a place to sleep and not interested in a "nice" room, then this would be fine.

Positive: It was close to our destination. Negative: It looked like a run down motel from the outside. There wasn’t anyone available at checkout nor a buzzer or bell to signal for someone. I had to just leave our key cards on the front desk.

My wife and I are up here for my wife's alumni weekend. This hotel was a fifteen minute drive from her old campus. I must say I haven't seen a Bible in a hotel in about twenty years. It sort of confused me with the lock on the fridge door with instructions for the key at the front desk. The bathroom itself looked newly renovated with a new tub. The bedspread and drapes had fall colors which I wasn't sure was on purpose or not. While the surrounding area was nothing but woods and road there was a mall and food spots within 5 min which was pretty good. The also had two charge stations for electric cars and solar panels they used for lights outside. If you can't adjust the volume on the remote press the button under TV with the power light. It's nice and clean but it has become more expensive. $128 just to sleep is ridiculous. (on a Tuesday night) I would usually choose this place because it was reasonable. Now it's like all the other hotels in the area. I think next time I will stay at an Airbnb instead.
