Rodeway Inn

The room was very outdated. The bed was OK. The paint was peeling from the walls in spots. There was a small gap in the door not enough pillows. The bathroom tub was really nasty. If I had to stay here again it was only after desperation I would not recommend this place until it’s remodeled, a revamped.

The place was exactly what I expected and paid for. The beds were clean from bugs and the parking lot was well lit and safe. There were no drug addicts or prostitutes lurking about. Really good value of a hotel. I would stay here again. Had a refrigerator and microwave in my room. All the lights worked in my room and there were no bloodstains on the walls.

If there was a minus star, I would give it minus five stars because of the way this owner treated my pregnant daughter, my little grandson and my son-in-law when we asked if they could stay in the room for 10 minutes passed check out time after their car was totaled in an accident and I was driving from west Texas to get them. Because the owner told them if they were still in the room at 11:00 am, he was charging us for another night, I drove 90 miles an hour to get there with 6 minutes to spare! This owner clearly lacks empathy.

There is a turtle behind the front desk who was sitting in a murky green tank with no space to move around. The room was pretty rough, a crack in the wall, residue on the counters and surfaces, the blanket was stained, but it smelled clean. The bathtub was pretty rough, I’m not even sure how that happens. Coffee maker was just a single serve which is expected, but I couldn’t bring myself to use it due to the buildup and residue in it. Staff was not personable. The housekeeper came to the room an hour and half early and entered without knocking. It’s right off the Interstate so it’s there in a pinch but definitely would drive to eastland if possible to get a room. Then the owner called to ask why my wife left a one star review so I figured I should elaborate.

Immediately entering our room the smell was awful, after that you could clearly see one of the beds were broken, and it also had some sort of huge stain on it. They had given us a different room which had some sort of bug right next to the door still alive and some more bugs near the bed. They kept trying to give us different rooms instead of giving us an immediate refund.
