Rodeway Inn Gurdon I-30

When we arrived to our room we found it had not been cleaned from the previous guest. The packaged soap was ripped open. A wet towel was in the shower. A cigar butt and toathpaste were dirty in the sink and a wrapper from a pastry was in the trash. There was no ice bucket liner. But no worries there because the hotel ice machine didn't work anyway. The shower was nice and hot. The bed was comfortable. Although I wonder if the sheets were changed between guests. The room refrigerator sounds like someone snoring. Smoke detector is missing essential parts.Live earwig type bug on floor we killed.Instant oatmill or cold cereal for breakfast. Not the Choice Hotel breakfast I was expecting. Half gallon of community milk. There's a community peanut butter jar but no loaf of bread. Coffee was good

The room itself was nice and clean and the two workers we interacted with were very friendly and helpful. The only real issue we had was the mattress was a little worn out but still ok for the two nights we were there and you had to push really hard on the door to make sure it closed properly otherwise it popped open but overall not bad. There’s a gas station with a restaurant attached so you didn’t have to go far for food or snacks. There’s area was quite and peaceful even being right off the interstate and it’s pet friendly even though we were able to bring our dogs on this trip with us. And it 10 minutes away from the closest Walmart and you can take the scenic route or the interstate to get to town. If you’re looking for an affordable place to stay I definitely recommend this location.

Door not secure. Not enough towels. Staff not consistently at work or available to help customers. No continental breakfast as advertised. Towels not clean. Room dirty. Very low water pressure.

If there was a choice to give this hotel zero stars, I would. I stayed here for a few days a couple of months ago, and, other than the fact that the fooor was dirty, my stay was relaxing, and pleasant. This trip….. horrible. The refrigerator had a foul odor, and was filthy. The floor was even dirtier. The door had a gap in it that ran the entire length of the door jam, where the lock is. I covered it with a sheet. There were holes in the wall, above the refrigerator, and I plugged them with pieces of a plastic bag. As a solo female traveler, one can’t be too careful. Aldi, the worst part was what I found under the bed when I lifted the mattress up to turn it over; springs were poking my backside when I sat down. I was actually scared, and it takes a lot to scare me. I will never stay there

Place is fine I guess, but the front deck is always locked and nobody is around. I came in at 8pm last night and the lobby was locked up and I had to call. I wake up at 8am this morning for breakfast and they are locked up AGAIN. I've never seen a lack of someone so much at the lobby desk.
