Rod 'N' Reel Resort

I'd like to start by saying, every employee I encountered during our stay 10-24-25--10-26-25 was helpful, courteous and cheerful.Front desk, check-in desk, maintenance and security personnel. Second, I wanted to bring to your attention the difficulty I had transporting my 89 yo disabled veteran dad from the lobby to our room. I got my dad to the elevator and up to the 2nd floor with no problem. I had to push dad's transport chair through a party of guests that was going on in the foyer above the atrium. I followed the signs to the room and found out after opening a door that there was another long hallway to go thru to get to the room. I followed the room numbers to our room that had two room numbers on it. I thought that was a little weird. I scanned the card and found myself in another

I stayed one night on 11/13/2025 to 11/14/2025 to break up a very long return trip home. I booked a room via their website and wasn’t sure if it would overlook the bay. Even though it would just be one overnight stay, I still wanted a room with a view. After checking in and going up to the room, I discovered that the view was of the balconies of the next building rather than a full view of the bay. I went back to the front desk and asked Caleb to arrange for a different room that had a view of the bay. He was happy to think through all the different rooms the establishment had to offer and was able to give me one with a beautiful view. And there was a balcony! Loved it! The bed and pillows are the best hotel bed and pillows I've ever used. Everyone was happy, helpful and friendly. CBQ and 1936 restaurants were fabulous. The food was great and the service was awesome. The atmosphere was welcoming and pleasant. Convenient stores were within a short walking distance. Highly recommend the Rod 'N' Reel Resort.

I did not stay here but I did host the welcome drinks for my wedding here and many of my guests stayed here for the wedding. Lori was our main point of contact for organizing the welcome drinks and she definitely went above and beyond for us. We had arranged to have our welcome drinks in late October on the cafe boardwalk, but it was a colder night than expected. When asked, Lori agreed to move our welcome drinks to the indoors mezzanine. It was a beautifully renovated space and our guests were so comfortable. It was gorgeous! I wouldn’t hesitate to do business with Rod n Reel again, we had the best time and it was the perfect kick off to our wedding weekend!
