Rocky Top Campground & RV Park

We realize that, with the freak winter storm many were caught off-guard. However, it seems you had 3+ days to get your main road into the campground cleared. Since your place is small, it wouldn't have taken much, using your tractor, even if it took an initial scraping, then again after the snow started to melt a bit. I'm just thankful that we didn't get our camper stuck. Everything else was wonderful, especially the friendly service.

What really stood out was the hospitality. You can tell it's family run and they truly care about their guests. You will see the owners Maria and Jim and their son out working on the grounds. daily. We also loved Lauren & Danielle who work the office. Their daughters are younger, but come and give a hand on occasion as well. Its truly a family business! We were even able to receive mail and packages during our stay, which was so helpful. ||Highly recommend staying here if you're working in the area!

Absolutely a great place to stay, clean restrooms, wonderful staff close to Interstate 81… we stayed 2 nights during the Winter storm Fern a few days ago.. was very happy to be safe there. They are in the process of upgrading many things, I bet by May it will be Marvelous:)! Will recommend and also stay again Thank you Kathy and Jim Freeborn

We were in town for the weekend for our Granddaughter’s birthday party. Arrived after the store had closed and easily found our check in information. Very easily accessed from the interstate. Our site was a pull through. Internet was strong enough to support our tv’s and cell phones. My wife stated that other than at our son and daughter in law’s house, the restrooms were the cleanest she had been in all weekend. Same goes for the men’s restroom. They just moved to Kingsport and this will be our place we stay when we come to visit.

We were only there for one night. Our site was clean, but tight for our 30 foot RV. Our site was by the road, but it was quiet at night. The grounds were clean and well marked. There is a lot of construction going on but it was not a distraction. The only staff we interacted with was the girl running the office; she was polite and helpful. We did not use the restrooms or laundry, so I cannot comment on them. The dog park has two areas and is dirt. It would be helpful to have mulch in it as I could imagine it is muddy when it rains. It is very hilly and, thankfully, we were not up on the hill although I walked up to the top of the park and it was lovely. The internet worked well.
