Rocky Springs Cabin

So peaceful and filled with the sound of nature. We usually try to go about every 6 months. It's just so much better than camping.

I can’t believe I’ve never done a review for this place!!! First and foremost the owner is very kind and makes sure he helps as much as possible and that your stay is good. I think we’ve stayed there now 4-5 times and going back 2 more times this year!! It’s unknown the number next year. If it wasn’t an amazing escape we wouldn’t go back and call it “our cabin” when referencing it in conversation at our house! Thank you Mike for being a great host to a beautiful peaceful escape from everyday life! My husband and I always talk about how we would so live there and never want to leave. You can just let us move in and charge us rent lol. I would love to experience that place in a snowstorm ♥️ 🔥

We very much enjoyed our weekend at the Rocky Springs Cabin! It was a perfect setting for a fun getaway with friends. In total there were four adults with 4 kids ages 4-6. There was definitely more space for more people too ( with air mattresses). The kitchen was very small, but definitely doable and we were surprised with the capacity of the mini fridge. The loft was very cool-the kids loved hanging out upstairs. It was pretty loud to climb the stairs, though, but again not a big deal. The space was cooled down by the window unit upstairs in the loft and an industrial ceiling fan in the vaulted ceiling that was super strong. We used the boat, and fished, except we weren’t as lucky to catch fish-we aren’t fishing people though, so maybe it was us. Close to Lake Shelbyville and it’s public

They had my nieces birthday party out here and it is beautiful!! Little pond next to it for easy fishing or swimming, trails, little park across the pond that the kids can play. They provided the firewood, which is awesome and I'm not sure as to what else. But it was beautiful and quiet. O let suggestion would be is to fix the type if steps you have leading up to your bedrooms on the top floor...my nieces foot went through on and she had fallen down them. It is very neat on how you have the stairs, but dangerous in a lot of ways too.

Was a great stay. Owners were quick to respond and friendly. Place was clean and well taken care. The pond next to it had bass and bluegill to catch. Will definitely stay again in the future.
