Rocky Bend Flint River Retreat

The river view is amazing, but what I really appreciated was the help I got when I first got there. It was my first time ever setting up and I wasn't getting power to my camper. In the process of helping me the young man was also able to fix the GFCI on the pole and let me borrow a battery charger. Very helpful fella. If this was closer to where we needed to be, we'd be there full time. I honestly can't thank this place enough. It made our first time out a memorable one.

Well I use to stay there quite often , at least twice a year . I always paid for all the cabins I would need in advance . Also firewood and a golf cart . Was told all would be there upon arrival at cabin . Well it wasn’t . No firewood for 2 days and golf cart delivered on 2 nd day there . That was the first visit . Wrote it off to miscommunication . On our second visit my mother and I went to detress from my brothers death . We walked in the cabin and nothing but sand and dirt was on our feet . Some swept the cabin and mentioned it to owner . That was a mistake. On our third rental we had 3 cabins . Well tonight a long story short on our first complaint the owners accused me of smoking in there cabins on previous visits and I couldn’t be pleased and we were ask to leave immediately . So a

Went for a hunting trip January 3-4, 2026 and absolutely loved it ! Beautiful view from the deck of the Flint River. Watched deer and turkey from the yard. Cabin was very clean and well stocked. Highly recommend and will definitely be going back in the future !

Rocky Bend Flint River Retreat is an absolute gem! Tucked away in a beautiful, natural setting, it’s the perfect escape if you’re looking for peace and outdoor adventure. The scenery is stunning—lush trees, calm river views, and wildlife all around. We loved how quiet and safe it felt, perfect for relaxing. Fishing here is great, and there’s a nice boat ramp that made getting on the water easy. The kids had a blast with the rope swing! We also enjoyed kayaking on the river—it’s so peaceful and scenic. The RV spots are spacious and well laid out, and the cabins are super cozy and well stocked with everything we needed. Best campsite I've ever been to, and I've been to a lot. Really what camping needs to be. Pristine natural environment, the amenities were all very clean, and everything was meticulously maintained, from the bathrooms to the trees and grass. The owner was out there cutting tree limbs and clearing brush himself, which shows how much they care and how hard they work. My kids, my wife, and I all enjoyed it and will definitely be returning.
