Rock Creek Retreat & Ventures

We stayed cozy even on a cold winter’s night. My 7 year old daughter and 12 year old Aussie/spaniel mix loved their first glamping experience, especially the Gnome trail. Kara and Jon were warm and welcoming camp hosts, and the setting was beautiful. I’m looking forward to many more visits since it is a convenient distance from our home in Huntsville and offers lots of nearby hiking. I’m also excited to try out the sauna and hot tub on my next trip!

5/5 Stars - A Hidden Gem! Rock Creek Retreat is a dream. The hosts have truly thought of everything you could possibly need for a glamping trip. Our family (including our 20-month-old) loved the easy hiking trails and the proximity to local waterfalls. There is nothing like falling asleep to the sound of the creek and watching the stars from inside a cozy, warm dome. The hot outdoor shower was a highlight, and the cooking setup was perfect. We can’t wait to come back!

We loved the tent setup. Had everything we needed for the griddle. The robes were perfect for walking to the hot tub and sauna (both of which were great). The views were amazing. Bed was super comfy. Heater worked good even when it dropped to 26 degrees (we did bring extra blankets to sleep with which helped as well). Such a great experience overall!

Domes are super comfy and very well equipped. Communication with the host is exceptional and the setting is super relaxing. The domes are spaced perfectly apart for privacy but not too far, if needed for group weekend getaway with multiple couples, etc. Each dome is creek front and the sound of the creek is so relaxing. The location is ideal, close to town for groceries, close to Cullman and Jasper for fun events, and an easy drive to hiking trails leading to magical waterfalls. Highly recommend!

Amazing experience! Our first time trying out dome camping and this was the perfect place to do it. Very peaceful and great location. Communication was very smooth and she answered any questions we had. Highly recommend!
