Riverview Motel

Two words best describe this motel -- comfortable and clean. The owners are very friendly and accommodating and the service is very good. The view of the Greenbrier River across the street is peaceful and beautiful. We were there for the Independence Day weekend and the motel was brightly decorated. The location is great and you may find something fancier and costlier but you probably won't find something more comfortable.

I did not have a chance to meet any staff in person as I was on a road trip passing through kind of late, needing a shower and good nights rest. The lady on the phone was very nice and made accommodations quickly. Room was ready to go when I arrived and did not have to waist anytime at check in. After departing they called to follow up on my stay. I would recommend or stay again.

Went down here two years ago before picking up a working dog from a local farmer. Rooms were super clean, also the late check in was very nice and I appreciated them going above and beyond to make sure I was able to get a room. Would recommend!

NOT PET FRIENDLY...... Almost everywhere is pet friendly these days.... I was quite surprised when the receptionist said no pets... I'll take my money somewhere else....

Our stay at the Riverview Motel was an unexpected adventure. Our car broke down on our way to the state fair and we had to wait until the next day for parts for the repair (huge thanks to George at D&G Auto Repairs for helping us in an emergency). Being stranded almost two hours from home, and despairing over the hotel prices in Lewisburg, the tow truck driver (Jimmy is a wonderful man!) gave us the number for the Riverview Motel. Thankfully, they had a room available for an amazing price. After securing our room for the night, Jimmy was kind enough to drive our family the 5ish miles back into Alderson to the motel.
