Riverside Hot Springs Inn & Spa

Best hotel stay in Lava! I love this old hotel, and the Portneuf Grill in the basement is always top notch. It's not cheap, but it is one of the better restaurants I've ever eaten at, and one of my all time favorites. Dave at the front desk was really helpful and friendly. The private hot pools in the basement are the real draw here, so awesome to be able to soak in private and not worry about any crowd. The breakfast Quiche was also a masterpiece. This hotel is my home away from home. I love it and I've never had a bad experience here.

I don’t normally write reviews, but I had to for this incredible trip. The Hotel Manager (David) sets the tone for excellence. You can feel the strong leadership in every department — everything runs smoothly, efficiently, and with genuine care for guests. It’s rare to see such hands-on involvement and dedication to creating a memorable experience. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with genuine smiles and such positive energy. They weren’t just professional — they were fun, friendly, and incredibly welcoming. It felt less like checking into a hotel and more like being welcomed by people who were genuinely happy to see you. The front desk people are very nice

Absolutely amazing! Diane booked me over the phone and hooked us up very nicely. The price was exactly what she told me it would be and the service was exceptional. I want to give a special thanks to Dave & Ally at the front desk, as well as the lady at the cafe- I didn’t catch her name! (I recommend the quiche and French toast) Everyone who works here is so personable and so kind. I also want to shout out Portneuf Grill. Lindsay, Caesar, and Dereck were amazing!!! It was Caesar’s first night and he was on fire. The ribeye, potatoes & veggies were absolutely unreal and I got a Caesar salad with chicken and it was the best Caesar salad I’ve ever had in my entire life. I can’t say enough good about our staying at the Riverside Inn. Dave, the concierge, was awesome. Our room was great, and the bed very comfortable. Our shower had the best water pressure. I wish mine at home was that good. Our dinner OMG. It was a fine dining experience. The food was exquisite. Every bite was a yum. I highly recommend eating there.
