Rivers Edge on the Potomac Campground

The trees! Oh the trees! If you love sycamores & maples....you will find comfort nestled under these canopies & feel like you are in an old growth park. Then there is the river. It's slow moving current will hypnotize you to a point of relaxation that you will start breathing right again. You will want to sit around the firepit all day staring at the water while reading your book; sipping a hot or cold beverage. Or you may decide to take your flat bottom kayak, which means easy kayaking, to the calm waters (ladies & children also) fishing until it's time for your nap. My husband loves fishing here & has caught many a fish that are snapshot worthy. This water is calm enough for family tubing with easy public access in & out.
