Rivers Edge Campground

Our family enjoyed a brief stay at Rivers Edge in October and will absolutely be back. We are a family of tent campers so enjoyed their well-maintained primitive tent camp sites. The staff was lovely and very friendly - many of the other campers seemed to be regulars so we especially appreciated that same friendliness for the newbies. The bathrooms were lovely! (How many camp sites can say that?) Our dog enjoyed the off-leash area, the kids loved the jump pillow, and we all loved the views and the river. Little details - like motion-sensors on site signs - were appreciated! We can't wait to go back in the summer and enjoy the swimming hole and the fishing opportunities.

It's easy enough but I shared a review and apparently it didn't show up here. Our site was pretty unlevel, site 24. And rules talking about golf carts. A guy shows up, he and his wife sitting on the back while his "kid" drives the golf cart right past their hosts that were sitting at their own site and never said a thing soooo why have rules? And as far as multiple cars at sites comeon, it happens and did!!

My friend and I stayed in one of the glamping sites last week, and it was the perfect setup. The tent was spacious and clean. The campground is very quiet and the owners were friendly. My favorite part was the swimming hole and being so close to West Virginia. I would definitely stay here again. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

We absolutely love this campground. We have it on our camping season schedule every year, so this was our 3rd time staying at River's Edge. It's so peaceful in such a beautiful setting with amazing hosts. We love to head out to the Turner Ham store, which is quite well-known in the area, and we always get a fried ham sandwich. We also love to head just across the state line into West VA and explore the small markets along the stretch of road. Highly recommend, and it was great to see this past Labor Day that the campground was full.

River's Edge is, by far, our favorite of the campgrounds we've visited so far!! Very family friendly, dog friendly and quiet. Their bathhouses are fantastic! The fact that the showers have their own rooms, including a toilet and sink with a LOCKING door, is very comforting to me, as a woman. They are best shower facilities we've seen, thus far. Other campgrounds need to follow River's Edge's example. We begin our camping season with River's Edge and end our camping season at River's Edge. We have no plans to change that!!!
