Riverbend Campground

Great location with easy access to the Blue Ridge Parkway, Lake Logan, and 15 minutes to downtown Canton or Waynesville. It is located on the Pigeon River and has a great picnic/fire pit area right on the river with steps down into the river for fishing or swimming. It is a smaller campground with no amenities (besides an amazing river and fire pit), but you get nice mountain view’s and river views. Full hook ups and good WiFi available. Chad, the owner, is very responsive to questions or concerns and is on site often to ensure the property is in good condition. Open year round as well!

This campground is a little slice of heaven. It’s got the best swimming hole on the Pigeon River, beautiful views of the mountains, and near so many lovely hikes. Trips to Asheville, Biltmore, Waynesville, the Great Smoky Mountains, or the Blue Ridge Parkway are easy and convenient.

Loved our time at Riverbend, an absolute oasis. Close to all local amenities and PNF. Will be back!

Riverbend is a small, peaceful campground with only 6 RV sites, plus tent sites. RV sites are graveled, level and come with full hookups, reliable WiFi, and a picnic table, making it easy to settle in comfortably. There’s also a nice grassy area with a shared fire pit and picnic tables directly on the Pigeon River, with a stone staircase leading to river access. The property is well thought out and clearly maintained with care. The location is ideal—close enough to Waynesville for convenience, yet far enough out to take in the scenery and enjoy the mountain views without distractions. It’s clear the owner has made a major investment in improving and beautifying the grounds, and it shows.
