River Run Campground, LLC

This was our third time to camp at River Run. Each time has been a wonderful experience. Access to the Shenandoah is perfect, as most of the campsites are directly on the river. The campsites on the river are shaded and adequate in size. Jeremy, the owner, is an excellent host. he checked on us several times, and accommodated several requests we had - more ice, and a tank of propane (which we had forgotten to pack). We had a local river outfitter (Downriver Outfitters) bring kayaks to our site, and they picked them up at the end of our stay. The campgrounds are clean, with trash bins and porta-potties on site. || We always go during the week when we camp and usually have the entire place to ourselves, which is really nice... and quiet. NOT FOR EVERYONE! This campsite would be best specifically for people who like to party and socialize. I was there this summer with a small group and had a great time. 90% of people were Hispanics and very nice. People came to our site with plates of food and we did the same. Overall it was a very nice relax atmosphere with “Live and let live” type of mentality. The music is loud and it comes from all directions and you need to be comfortable with that. Water is steps away and it was easy to get in the river with the kayak. They sell good firewood on site and it’s super cheap so you can have the fire going all night. Most importantly for me, the site was clean and the Porta Potty spotless, I looked like is getting clean and empty after every guest leaves and for that I thank you

If you are up to partying with loud music and no sleep then this is the right place for you. This place is like being at music festival with people having a good time and being outside freely. Campers respect your area and willing to share plates of food or power to charger your devices. We enjoy swimming in the river all day and sometimes at night as well. You can get firewood and ice delivered to your campsite for a decent price. Jeremy and the rest of the staffing are great people.

Everything was good at the beginning, until it was dark. We were playing music past 12 am which was our fault for going over but one of the staff was disrespectful telling us to turn off the music which we did but he insisted that it was still on, started cursing and going into an argument which it didn’t throw hands but a couple of us got overwhelmed and scared that ruined our night. There are still other campers having their music on so we felt it was unfair. Been going here for a few years now and it’s been the first. Not sure if I’ll be coming back. It should have been handled in a nicer way.

Oh, where do I even begin with this delightful campground experience? If you're looking for a place where sleep is a luxury and peace and quiet are non-existent, then look no further! One of the highlights of this place is the constant, ear-deafening loud music that fills the air from dusk till dawn. Who needs a good night's sleep anyway, right? It's truly remarkable how the Spanish community here has mastered the art of ignoring the existence of other campers and their desire for tranquility. Kudos to them for their dedication to making sure everyone's eardrums get a good workout! But let's not forget about the camp owner, who deserves a standing ovation for their complete lack of care.
