This is great campground in a small town next to the Big Sioux River. They offer canoe and kayak rental and will take you to a drop off location to float down the river to the campground. I recommend.
So the river is very full! Up 10ft! Should be an awesome time to float! However i would like to see experienced boaters and it’s ultimately up to you but young children would not be able to swim in this current and it will be over all of your heads! Not trying to scare anyone just being real! Hope to see y’all soon!!!
Wow, surpassed my expectations! My friend and I drove from SF and enjoyed a peaceful 2 hour kayak trip down the river! The crew was very accommodating and friendly. Everything is so easy and we will do it again!
Greatest place I have found in South Dakota to camp. The staff are wonderful people and the overall feeling of the place and people there is so relaxing and enjoyable it's surreal. Now in the fall the leaves are changing and the vibrant colors and the wildlife make your morning coffee time a special life event.
A hidden gem!!!! My family tented for two nights. Definitely made lots of memories. Canoe trip amazing, showers great, friendly people and always willing to accommodate your needs. Definitely making this a yearly family trip.
