River Edge Campground

Just went for our 2025 annual camping at Rivers Edge for 3 nights. Let me tell you, they were the nicest hosts we have experienced by far. Everything was mowed, the vault bathrooms were clean (even inside the bowl), and floor was spotless. Plenty of toilet paper for our group and even came and checked our garbage to see if we needed anything hauled off. Which isn’t their responsibility. The hosts wife had a basket full of lapel pins, koozies, and glow items for the kids to choose from. They loaned us their horseshoes and a brand new LED frisbee to throw. You can tell they enjoy doing this. They definitely go above and beyond what is required of them. We even left for a bit and saw them shoveling what looks like years of over growth (moss, dirt, weeds, pine needles) along the curbs and sw

The space was huge and perfect for our multi-family camping trip. The covered area is incredible! The camp host, Dan, was GREAT! He and his wife brought out a basket of goodies for all of the kids in our group that had activity books, pins, crayons and stickers, it was such a sweet touch. The river is beautiful and perfect for our small kids. The bathrooms were clean as they could be for vault toilets and well maintained by the camp host. We did seem to find a few dog poo piles in the field and the management that came to visit was not friendly. Overall, we would stay here again!

We stayed at River Edge Campground and had a great time! Just a heads up—this place is completely off the grid. There’s zero cell service (literally none), so make sure to download directions and maps ahead of time because once you’re out there, you’re fully unplugged. It added to the peaceful vibe and made it easier to disconnect and just enjoy being in nature. The campground itself is super quiet and tucked away, which we loved. It’s about a 30-minute drive to Waldport, and the road isn’t bad at all, pretty smooth and scenic. The sites were clean and had a good amount of space, and falling asleep to the sound of the river was such a treat. We held our annual family reunion at River Edge the last full weekend in July 2025. We've been camping there for several years because the facility meets all our needs, and the hosts have been fantastic. This year the new hosts (Dan and Cheryl) greeted us very warmly and even gifted the grandkids with games and toys! We were having a great time until Land & Leisure fired our hosts during our vacation, leaving us without hosts. We won't speculate on what issues may have existed, but the timing and handling of this situation was highly unprofessional. The hosts and facility get the 5 stars. L & L, none. We will be looking for other accommodations next year.

Hello all, my husband and I are the 2025 season Hosts for this group site. It is beautiful, located right on highway 34. This group site is reservation only, and books a year in advance. It’s very popular with groups that come year after year. There is a nice pavilion with charcoal grills, a fire pit under pavilion, and a huge stone fire pit outside on the field. The grassy field is large enough for all sorts of outdoor games. Lots of paved pathways to explore down to the river, swim, put your tubes or rafts in. There are two bathrooms that are vault only. No sinks. There are two running potable faucets at each end of campground. There is power to the pavilion and at night you can even switch on the lights. Plenty of tables.
