River Bend Motel

My friend, his large dog and I stayed in The Suite and it was wonderful! The room exceeded my expectations by far. The rooms were very clean, and well appointed. ||Both queen size beds, situated in separate rooms, were very comfortable,and the sheets and towels were plush and fairly new. The bathroom was very large with ADU handrails, a jacuzzi tub and shower. The kitchen was as described in the listing. It had a sink, a microwave, coffee maker and a larger refrigerator than usual for a motel/hotel room. ALSO, there were amenities stocked for our use, including coffee, sugar packets, and condiment packages. What a little gem. We were tired after a long day hoping to find a place to stay before the sunset. We encountered this place. The room is clean and cozy. All the amenities work well. We thank you for making your motel nice and comfortable….

Charming western atmosphere with plenty of seating outside to enjoy your coffee while taking in the happenings of the town. Room was very clean, cozy, and had thoughtful and useful amenities. Loved the cowboy decor. Friendly owner and I felt comfortable and at home.

I highly recommend the clean, cozy and affordable River Bend Motel. I spent two nights in the Moose Room, which has two comfy beds - a double and a single - plus a bathroom with shower. Room includes a good-sized mini-frig stocked with bottled water, microwave, fixings for pour-over coffee, and even paper plates and cutlery. Tim the owner thinks of everything. It was very quiet, even with the place fully booked. Pro tip: The only food in town (for now) is the small food market next door to the motel and Top Water Pizza, a food cart open Th-Sun only. So stock up before you get to town.

Great location to stay while visiting the John Day Fossil Beds National Monument and Painted Hills. The outside looks a little rustic and dusty but we found it super cute and loved the rustic charm. When we arrived there were several guests seated in the chairs around the outdoor table enjoying the quiet evening in this small town. We all found it very friendly and relaxing. We stayed in the Bear room with one queen and a single. Very clean room stocked with many items a traveling in a more remote area of Oregon would need. Refrigerator, microwave, paper plates, bowls, cups, paper towels, coffee maker, coffee and creamer. There's even dog mats and rags. The room was very clean with a rustic outdoorsy feel and decor.
